Miracle Products?
The called "border products" or "miracle" they explain, are those that stand to promote itself with medicinal properties, but that does not really fit the definition of a drug and not a food, hence the name of border.
Mexico government approved some modifications in the General Health Law to regulate the "Miracle Products", in all with a special caption where is especified that the products are not drugs and that they dont have curative proprieties.
The law established that the food and drinks of this type that pretend to be expended to the public should have a clarifying tag. So these products should have written in the tag: "This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition or symptom associated therewith. Not a drug and not having unknown clinical studies the possible effects of their use on human health "
It specifies that the message should be written in a legible and in contrasting colors for people to see that the products can be auxiliary, "but not miracle" and they make the decision that suits them.
People should be informed before consuming these products, since they are not backed by clinical studies drugs.
"The right to health protection is a universal social right and independent of the vulnerability of the recipients," the lawmakers point out in the opinion.
